Zumba with Judy in Sudbury, Concord and Acton

At this time of the year (last day) it is fun to look back and see what we have done over the past 12 months-hey if Dick Clark can still do it I can do itJ People Magazine dubbed Zumba® the Fitness trend for 2011 done by JLo, Kirstie Alley, Jordin Sparks, and YOU!!
JRO Fitness looks back……………….
Celebrated 2nd year anniversary of Zumba with Judy with a Party at Thoreau Outdoor Center including trivia games door prizes and 2 hours of Zumba dancing (January)
Joined our friends at SMILE MASS to help raise funds for their amazing organization at Breakfast with a Smile at Crowne Plaza in Natick-Although Maria Stephanos refused to dance with our group we all had fun performing for a nice group of women with a purpose! (March)
We had a Slip in to Summer Party at our new location at Congregation Beth Elohim in Acton to get ourselves ready for bathing suit season-enjoyed yummy goodies and more door prizes! (June)
We entered the Pause Video Contest with our Stop Drop and Roll Entry and had a blast with the Sudbury Fire Dept and our Pitbull Blue! (August)
We had our second Zumbathon –this time raising money for our fellow dancer Susie’s Precious Children’s Orphanage in Tanzania Africa-We raised enough money to truly make a difference in these children’s lives-So proud and honored to help with this worthy cause. (September)
We participated in our favorite local charity SMILE MASS annual Amazing Race and watched many a Sudbury man and woman try to learn the steps of Pegate in a very short time in the mud at Verrill Farm-such a blast! (October)
We introduced Muscle Conditioning and Zumba Gold® both with our new instructor Becca and they have become welcome additions to the class schedule-both on Wednesdays at Gervais! (November)
We introduced Zumba Toning® with our very own Concessa doing a couple songs with Toning Stix to allow everyone to try the idea of muscle conditioning during a Zumba Class-we will be adding more songs in 2012-the stix were a hit! (December)
In 2011. we were able to offer classes every morning of the work week (we added a Friday morning class in October) and were also offering an evening class every night of the work week (thanks to Jen being able to consistently teach the Monday night class at LS) We were able to offer Saturday classes 2x a month and will continue that trend in the new year!
We had birthday parties for young and old(er), vacation parties, Au Pair parties, Curtis SED class, Zumba Club at LS, Workshops for School teachers in Boxboro and Sudbury and Corporate Classes in Lexington and Concord-so much fun!!!
We now have JRO Fitness shirts being worn by many fellow dancers and we are lucky to dance in such warm and welcoming locations as House of Dance in Sudbury, Gervais Studio in Concord and Congregation Beth Elohim in Acton and Lincoln Sudbury High School in Sudbury. We will continue to run a full schedule and we invite you all to try any of the locations with your class card
